Industry Fledges

The Rappahannock Industrial Committee, at a meeting held on Tuesday evening, May 31 at the courthouse in Washington, reported that 95% of the goal of the $40,000 needed to establish an industry in Rappahannock County, has been pledged. The remaining sum of $2,00 is all that is needed to assure the location of a manufacturing plant in the county.

A labor survey is progressing very satisfactorily with over a hundred replies the first week, stating interest in employment. If you have received a survey card and have not returned it, the committee requests thaf you return it to a member of the committee as soon as possible.

A meeting with a representative of the manufacturing company is now beingarranged for some time in June. The date of the meeting will be announced in this paper.
