Confront Board
The ‘ monthly meeting of the Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County was held Wednesday morning, June 1 at the courthouse in Washington. E. M. Jones, Chairman of the Board, presided, with all members present.
Three hospital bills were presented by Mrs. W. A. Buntin of the Welfare Department for payment; a bill from University of Virginia for Miss Virginia Settle for $74.00 which was approved; a bill for Mrs. Robert Freeman from Warren Memorial Hospital and a bill for Ben Mallory in the amount of $499.00 from Warren Memorial Hospital, which were not paid. A bill from University of Virginia for Ella Mae Menefee for $388.00 was approved.
Two sheep claims were presented the Board by dog warden, Jack Bruce. One was for three lambs of S. H. Martin, who was allowed $52.80, and the other was for three lambs killed on the farm of Mrs. A. C. Latham, who was granted $59.60. Both farms are in Jackson District.
