Miss Ida B. Hawkins
Miss Ida Burns Hawkins of Amissville died Friday, May 27, at her residence. Daughter of the late Charles Willis and Mary V. I-c-ith Hawkins, she was a native of Culpeper County. She was 79.
She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews, including Ralph Rowzie of Amissville, with whom she made her home; Homer and Maurice N. Rowzie of Vienna; William Wall of Roanoke; Harold Lucas of the U.S. Army; Eston lHawkins, Miss Golda Hawkins and Chester Hawkins of Washington, D. C.
A funeral service was held Sunday, May 29, from Amissville Baptist Church, with interment in the church cemetery. Her pastor, Rev. John B. Hodge, conducted the last rites, assisted by Rev. A. C. Walker of Rhodesville.
Pallbearers were William Bywaters, Everett Stover, Charlie Compton, Elliot Doyle, Stanish Riley, Graham Hackley, Aubrey Curtis and Edward Tapp.
