My job as an editor is to report the news as I see it or as it is presented to me. When I state in the paper that such and such a meeting will be held on such and such a night at such and such an hour, I can not solemnly swear that this will occur for there is a force greater than I in control. Could I definitely predict the future 1 surely wouldn’t be in the newspaper business.'
However, I. firmly agree that anyone investing money should calculate the risks involved, whether it be in a factory, a herd of cattle or a crop of apples.
