Thirty-four Seniors
Graduate At R.C.H.S.
Thirty-four members of the senior class 0f Rappahannock CountyHigh Schjool received diplomas at the commencement exercises held Monday, I June 6 at 8 p.m. in the auditorium of the school. Superintendent Q. D. Gasque presented the diplomas to the graduates.
Rev. E|. E. Nicholson, Jr., pastor of Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church gave the invocation.
Patrici^ Reeve, president of the class introduced the speakers.
Elizabeth Latham, salutatorian welcomed the guests and audience and Donald Dodson presented the history of the class through its high schopl years.
Peachey Lyne told of the plans for after graduation of each member of th? class.
After the presentation of diplomas, valedictorian Walter B. Kilby spoke on the duties of the class as citizens stepping forward to take their places in the world.
The program closed with art impressive candlelight service, at which titpe each senior gave a lighted candle to a member of the juniof class with a challenge to continue the advancement of their education as they step into the graduates footsteps.
