Carnival Opens Next

Thursday, July 14 will the opening of the three-day annual Sperryville Firemen’s Carnival, with fun and games for all ages. Rides will include hobby horses, ferris wheel, swings and kiddie rides.
Highlighting the activities Friday will be the parade beginning at 6:30 p.m. (EST) with more than 70 units, including fire companies from many towns and surrounding communities, majorettes, marching units, floats, horses and ponies and some comical entries. The parade will start at Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church and end at the Taylor lot where the Carnival is held.
The food stand will offer hot dogs, hamburgers and coffee each night and on Friday night they will serve a. plate dinner.
Donations of cake or pies will be appreciated. Please bring them to the carnival grounds.
