Mr. Gasque^Superintendent of Schools, had/made a request that $14,000 be/transferred from the general county fund to the school fund, which was passed after a motion made by L. H. Luttrell.

As a Civil Defense measure, M. A. Greeley was authorized to apply for surplus property, of which fire companies in the county will take charge.

Former action against Mr. and Mrs. Egbert Woodward of Amissville was rescinded. Mr. and Mrs. Woodward had been sent a billl of over $100 by the Board for payment of sheep, killed, by a stray dog which was hanging around their place. The Woodwards had previously requested of the county that the dog be destroyed.

Mr. E. M. Estes, Mr. George Davis and Mr. Jones were appointed as a committee to get estimates on painting the jail.

Just before adjournment, appropriations for the month were read and approved and payment of all pending bills approved.
