4-H Girls Attend

Short Course

Four Rappahannock County — 4-H girls attended the State 4-H Short Course at V.P.I. June 27 through July 2.

During the week the club members had an opportunity to attend classes and attend State contests.

The girls who went to Short Course were Judy Kay Lillard, Sally Latham, Judy Faye Lillard and Tish Kilby.

Judy Kay Lillard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carson Lillard of Flint Hill became a member of the Virginia Chapter of 4-H All Stars. Judy has been a 4-H Club member for seven years and has completed 24 projects. This year she represented the county at two District Demonstration Contests where she received a blue ribbon on her electric demonstration. Becoming an All Star is the highest honor a 4-H Club member can receive.

At Short Course, Judy Faye Lillard and Tish Kilby entered the State Share-the-Fun Contest and received a red award. They presented a skit which won them first place in the County Contest.
