Cheaper Rates For" Heating
Mr. R. G.hfae Donald, Rnfsident of the Northern Virginia Power Company, has announced that his company has filed a new rate schedule with the State Corporation Cbmmission of Virginia which will result in reducing the cost of electricity for house heating purposes.
The formal filing of the new rate follows a conference with the Virginia Commission’s staff and provides that the new rate shall apply on and after October 1 of this year.
Much of the future growth in the residential use of electricity is expected to come from the rapidly increasing acceptance of electricity as the most modern and most desirable means of heating homes. It i' to develop, encourage and expand this market that the new special low rate for house hearing has been filed. This rate will make substantial savings possible for the “allelectric home” owner.

The Woman’s Missionary Society of the Washington Baptist Church will meet Tuesday, October 4 at 2:45 p.m. at the church. The program to be conducted by Mrs. B. R. Cox is “The Message of God’s Son." This is the beginning of a new year and all members are urged to attend.
