Guess we have proved ourselves to be human, all right. Check the filler on page four in the fourth column of last week’s issue of the Rappahannock News. Sometimes, I am sure we overdo it too. Friend of mine phoned me Thursday afternoon to chide me a bit. 1 got a lot of kick from it.

• • • • f The Court House and surrounding coiinty office buildings really look grand since they hike been blessed with a coat of paint or two, inside arid out. 1 certainly am glad for about a year ago, 1 heard a visitor here remark that.she thought the county was beautiful and the town st) quaint and different, but it was a shame for the interior of the Court House to be so dirt)'. It certainly needed a fact lifting. You will have to come back to see it now, Kitty.
Other improvements are going on in the county. Route 211 from Carson Johnson’s Esso Station to the three lane highway in Shenandoah National Park is getting a new asphalt topping. Across the mountain toward Front Royal 522 Is also being repaired. Chester Gap is working hard on the fire house they are building, to get it under roof before the cold weather sets in. Was surprised to see how much progress had been made when I was up there week before last. To date it has been a strictly a community do-it-yourself job. Keep pulling together. You’ll be amazed at what can be accomplished.
Buddy Aylor will open the Shell Gasoline Station on the west end of Sperryville this weekend. \ou know, the place called hire Cracker Inn.
