Crest Of Hill
On October 14 at 4:30 p.m. a mile west of Flint Hill on Route 606 a 1954 Ford sedan owned and operated by Delores Dale Jordan of Vienna, Va. side-swiped a 1960 Pontiac sedan driven by Darnell (irant Gaines of Eustis, Fla. when the two cars met on the crest of a hill. The Jordan car was to the left of the center of the road. No timated at $700 according to Tro injury resulted. Damage to the two vehicles was estimated at $700 according to Trooper W. A. Buntin, who investigated the accident.
Victims Of Mishaps
Victims of minor mishaps in this vicinity are Miss Mary Sue Atkins of Sperrvville who broke two bones in her wrist while playing volley ball Thursday at the high school. She stumbled and fell down and another player accidentally stepped on her arm. She received x-rays and treatment at Warren Memorial Hospital.
Kenneth Ray Bywaters, Amissville, cut his tongue while playing football at a picnic Saturday at Jenkin’s Pond. The cut required two stitches.
Mrs. Charlie Priest received a severe case of oak poisoning after working in her yard Saturday. She was unable to be out for several days.
Mrs. Taylor Updike of Washington fell Tuesday and dislocated her right elbow. She was hospitalized over night in Front Royal, returning to her home Wednesday.
