Continued from page two shouldn’t be the first of November, for businessmen like to make out accounts that day. Public sentiment was against Sunday voting. Monday was ruled out because many persons lived a day’s journey from polling places and objected to Sunday travel.
Thus, the present election day was chosen. It never falls on the first, nor later than November 8.
