By Ed How glad we are to have such beautiful country to share with others, as we did with many thousands of people who came from almost everywhere to see the mountains decked in their glorious fall array. There was an endless stream of traffic on the highway all week end, greatly pronounced Sunday afternoon and evening as everyone hurried to their homes to begin another week of living after partaking of the rare mountain air and enjoying the brilliant foliage. We hope for good weather over the coming weekend and invite just as many more to visit us.
• • * * ^ You can kill, not two, but three birds with one stone by coming to Rappahannock this Saturday. First, enjoy the house tour and dried flower sale sponsored by the ladies of Brom field Parish; second, have dinner at Reynolds Baptist Church in Sperryville where the ladies are serving their annual Harvest Dinner or go to Chester (jap where a benefit supper is being served for the benefit of the fire company; third, enjoy the scenery as you travel from house to house and to dinner. Doesn’t that sound like a grand suggestion.
You might also take in the auction at the Washington Fire House and be there when the Oriental rug is given away.
Just in case you don’t get to the house tour Saturday it is also held on Sunday.

Took Elizabeth back to school at Fredericksburg Sunday evening. The first person I saw on my arrival there was a Rappahannockan who helped us in with our baggage. Now what do you suppose Ray Snrad was doing wav down there?

Well, did we get a fast one pulled on us by our next door neighbor in business! Johnnie Burke, who runs the restaurant in thf next building and Fannie Frazier. who works there, got married last Wednesday, right under our noses and we didn’t know a thing
