Baking Competition
At the National Cherry Pie Baking Contest held February 19i24 in Chicago, Rena Pullen, a senior at Rappahannock County High School and Virginia State Champion, did not win, but did an excellent job of representing her state.
Rena is the 19 year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Pullen of Sperryvillc. She was accompanied to Chicago by Mrs. Glenna O. Bennett, Home Economics teacher at the high school.
Sherry Ann Sherry of Bunker Hill, West Virginia was acclaimed National Champion and Rena and Mrs. Bennett became quite well acquainted with her. Sherry, her chaperone and mother, were proof positive that our neighbor, West Virginia, has some migthy good folks.
Among (:(rv contestants, was Vicki *' « Vegas, Nevada, the aauguici w die well known Harry James and Betty Grabfe.
Rena has been a member of the FHA for the past four years and b Parliamentarian of the local chapter.
