Firemen Honored
With Banquet
Over a hundred Amissville firemen, Junior 'firemen, Auxiliary members and visiting firemen, ladies, and special guests enjoyed the eighth annual! banquet given for the Amissville; Fire Company byv the Ladies Auxiliary on Friday February 24 at the fire hall.
The sumptsous turkey and old Virginia ham dinner was served on beautifully decorated tables arranged io a horseshoe.

Ralph Rowzie, president of the fire company, acted as toastmaster, and as usual pulled off a few good jokes about some of his fellow members. . Features of the evening were an address by Rev. Jerry Holloway of Stevensburg; group singing and special vocal ^elections by Misses Sandra and Linda Rowzie accompanied by Miss Sandra Staap at the piano.
Highlight iof the evhing was the presentation of a check for $1500 to the Fire Company by the Auxiliary. Mrs. Edith fiackley,
