“To kill flies in rooms, use a household pyrethrum fly spray or an aresol containing pyrethrum, DDT, or chlordarie. If you use an aerosol bomb, make the application in all fly-infested rooms. These aerosols provide little or no residual protection on wall surfaces.”
The face fly is a comparatively new specie and although Dr. Turner of VPI’s Entomology Research staff has been studying its control as a cattle pest for at least a year, no satisfactory control has been found. The flace fly is believed to spread pink eye in cattle.
