The Public l|Velfare Foundation, now locatecf in Washington, D. C., has informed the local high school that the Incentive Awards in the form of fjnancial aid, will be given again tio college bound graduates of the Class of 1961, Rappahannock Cjo u n t y High School, who fulfill certain qualifications.
These awards |have been given for the past five! years and have been of great hfclp in enabling many high school j graduates to get started oh their college careers. In some cases, the awards have been renewed for the skme students beyond the first ye^r in college. In other cases, students have found part time jobs in! college after a year or so and nave thereby released aid for other students.
Awards are made by a committee from the faculty of the high school with certain other interested citizens of the ! county.
Application fortns for a grant from the Public Welfare Foundation are available jin the office of the high school.
