Time Changed
The timely subject of time was brought before the county Supervisors at the regular May meeting held yesterday at the court house in Washington, and action was taken to adopt Daylight Saving Time for all county offices. In all probability other offices and businesses will conform to the same.
Monday, May 8th was the date set for the change to DST.
Since most of the surrounding area is on “fast” time, a perpetual state of confusion is at hand as far as time. Rappahannock News was asked recently if it was still coming out the same day.
Schools at present are remainon standard time. The School Board will hold a meeting Tuesday night. e;Other
business confronting the board session was animal claims. Dog Warden Jack Bruce stated Thomas R. Taylor had 3 lambs injured and 2 killed by dogs; Roland Welch had 1 lamb killed and Walter Walton lost 5 sheep to dogs. All claims were voted to be paid.
