“Time and tide wait for.no man,” so the adage goes. Well a couple of local residents have cancelled out that saying. The mister of the house turned up the clock an hour" when "saving time’ arrived, since he works for the State. The Mrs., not realizing he had done so, turned the clock up an hour. Consequently he got to his job too early and by afternoon she was waiting supper for him at 3 o’clock.

Mr. Cole of Virginia Tel. and Tel., Front Royal, arrived in Rappahannock an hour too soon this morning for an appointment.
I am sure there are dozens of other similar incidents happening, but thank goodness, the Supervisors voted today to adopt Daylight Saving for County offices. I am sure everyone else will follow suit and thus put an end to the confusion.

Last week, I really goofed when I called the Vaughan baby a girl. I knew perfectly well it was a boy, but I am so used to girls, you will just have to make allowances. Jack Miller said he had a picture of the baby in the bath tub and is going to bring it to me. My apologies, Louise and Steve.
