Over A Hundred
The air was heavy with the delicate scent of spring blossoms and the melodious refrains of The Ambassadors, an eight-piece orchestra from i m 't , as the Juniors, Seniors and their guests enjoyed the annual prom in the ipacious new auditorium Friday evening at Rappi h mnock County High School.
Containers of flowers, a fountain, garden benches and birds decorated the center of the ballroom, while tables were arranged around the walls. The spring motif was carried out with green and white mints, dance programs and napkirp. Accenting the picture were the colorful swirling gowns of the young ladies.
P. lac Thornton, 111 acted as Emcee for the evening. Steve Hawkins, vice president of the junior class, gave a toast to the seniors. Roger Anderson, president of the senior class toasted the junior class.
Mrs. Warren Wilbur, accompanied on the piano by Virginia Y. Bradford, sang the theme song. “'Vounger Than Springtime” and “Hello, Young Lovers.”
