Page Leroy! Shenk, 57, of Luray died Monday morning in Page Memorial Hospital of a heart attack. He was the owner and operator of Brookside Restaurant and Motel on U.S. 211 east of Luray. Mr. Shenk was well known in Rappahannock County.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ollie May Martin Shenk; two brothers, Bergie Shenk of Luray and Otis Sherk of Camden, N. J.; and a sister, Mrs. Mary Judd of Luray.
Funeral services were held yesterday, May 31 at 2 p.m. from the Bradley Funeral Home with burial in Beahm’s Chapel Cemetery. Officiating ministers were Rev. Glen Boliek and Rev. O. L. Martin.
Pallbearers were Melvin Alexandria, J. Abram Brubaker, Robert Lillard, M. T. Eastham, Sewell Marsh and Jimmy Carter.
