Commissioning Exercises and Corps parade Saturday at V.P.I., Blacksburg. Robert Kennedy came home from V.P.I. for a few days visit, returning there Wednesday. ; Mr. arid Mrs. Robert Benish and children of Great Falls and Lester Alfred and Joseph Sorrell of Harrington were recent visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Alfred. Dinner guests Sunday of Mr. “ and Mrs. George Thornhill and their Kbuse guest, Mrs. M. K. Norris of Rixeyville, were Mr. and Mrs. Sam O’Bannono f Rixeyville and Mrs. Vinda Kilby of Culpeper. Mrs. Norris returned to her home Sunday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. £arroll Jenkins and family,'''formerly of Wolftown, have moved into the house recently vacated by the Paul Herring family. Mr. and Mrs. Herring are living near Salem. Mr. and Mrs. Kandy Robertson and baby of Washington, D. C. were Sunday visitors of Mrs. I. J. Brooke. Mrs. Norman Wilbur and Mrs. Edward Johnson. George Baber of Washington, D. C. was their weekend guest.
Sunday evening Mr. and Mrs. Olney Kennedy, Mrs. Waver Kennedy and Misses Betty and Jean Kennedy of Arlington visited Miss Lois Jenkins of Brandy. Miss Jenkins recently returned from the University of Virginia Hospital.
