Thursday, May 3, 1962, Richmond Union Stockyards in Richmond, Va. 8-9 a.m. Market Lamb Show. 9-10 a.m, Market Hog Show. 10-11 a.m. Slaughter Heifer Show. 11 a.m.-12 noon Slaughter Steer Show. 1! p.m. Commercial Auction Sale in the following order: Lambs, hogs, heifers and steers. All pens will be sold by ownership and by placing. Sale to be conducted by the Richmond Livestock Company.

Open to all bona fide 4-H Club and FFA members conducting Iamb, swine, heifer and steer feeding projects in Virginia.

The objectives of this program are to teach 4-H and FFA members some of the fundamentals involved1 in the commercial production of slaughter animals, such as what to buy, feeding and management, good marketing practices, and the economics involved in the livestock industry.

Rules and Regulations

Market Lambs—I. Each exhibitor can show and sell all lambs produced in groups of pens of five. Odd number or extra lambs may be sold individually at end of sale. 2. All lambs must be owned by and in the exhibitors possession at least 60 days before sale. 3. All Iambs must have been born after November 1. 4. All lambs must be docked wad rams must be castrated. 5. Pens of five must 'average at least 80 pounds. 6. Market lamb entries are due by March 1, 1962. 7. Classes: Each exhibitor may enter as many pens
