Mr. and Mr*. J. C. Burney of Washington, D. C. announce the - birth of a daughter born October 2nd in Culpeper Memorial Hospital. Grandparents of the baby are Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hitt of Woodville.

Mrs. Robert Jones has accepted a position with Lerner’s Dept. Store in Culpeper.
Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Updike were in Luray this week to attend the funeral of Mrs. Updike’s uncle, Elmer Stridden
