h Shooting Accident
David Lyne of Sperryville Was injured Friday evening, Decanter 29th when a rifle he was handling accidentally discharged.. The bullet struck him in the chest at an angle ) and lodged in his armpit.
David was removing the gun from its case when he dropped it . and it fired. The gun had been used by a friend who had removed the clip and thought the gun was empty when he returned it.
He was taken to the University of Virginia Hospital by Rappahannock Rescue Squad. He was treated and released. The bullet was not removed and will not be unless it gives further trouble. David is the son of County Agent W. H. Lyne and Mis. Lyne.
