Dodson
John Franklin Dodson of Washington, Va., died Thursday, December 21, of a heart attack while deer hunting near Washington. A ’ farmer and a native of Rappahannock County, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jake Dodson. He was 67. .
He is survived byihis wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Jenkins Dodson; five sons, Roscoe, Robert* Baron, Haywood and Earl Dodson, all of Rappahannock Co.; two sisters, Mrs. Ben Jenkins of Front Royal and Mrs. Peyton Jenkins of Sperryville; five half-brothers, Ellis Dodson of Front Royal, William Dodson of Leon, Buchanon Dodson of Brightwood, Ray Dodson of Brightwood, and Thomas Dodson of Kentson, N. C.; two halfsisters, Mrs. Elwood Dodson and Mrs. Ebb Atkins, both of Woodville; four grandchildren and one greatgrandchild. . ,
Funeral services were held Sunday, December 24, hjm Washington Baptist Church, with interment following in the Washington Masonic Cemetery. The Rev. Wayne Richards of Luray conducted the last rites. ,
Pallbearers were Clarence Giles, Alvin Atkins, Dolan Jenkins, Roy Jenkins, J. S. Weaver, Jonas Jenkins and Burnam Atkins.
Arrangements were handled by v Geest Funeral Parlors.__
