Maddox Tapp of Front Royal and Mrs. Louise Tapp visited Mr. and Mrs. Dudley Martin in Manassas Monday and were dinner guests that evening of Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Barker in Arlington. They wene also in Rockville, Md.

Mrs. Sarah Latham and daughters were dinner guests. N ew Year’s Day of Misses Katie and Louise Anderson in Culpeper. In the evening Mrs. Latham attended open house at Mt. Prospect, the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Miller in Washington, Va.

Guests* Christmas Eve of Mrs. C. M. M. Green and her son James Edwin were Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Miller, Jr. and family of McLean, Mr. and Mrs. T. F. Sandridge and Linda of Elkton, Mr. and Mrs. William Britton ar,d baby of Front Royal, Miss Shirley Brown and Julian Brown ,of Sperryville and Miss Sandra Staap. Holiday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Smith were Mr. and Mrs. Hammond Clarke of Oakton, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Shirtz and family, Fairfax and Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Smith of Herndon.

Mrs. J. L. Walter and Mrs. Julia Curtis were dinner guests Christmas Day of Mr. and Mrs. Stanish Riley.

Amissville Fire Co. answered an alarm to a chimney fire Tuesday morning at the Ed Scott residence. That was very convenient for Scotts live next door to the fire house and are officially responsible for taking and sounding the alarms for the fire company.

Mr. and Mrs. J. Richard Latham entertained Saturday evening with a dinner, having as guests Miss Annie Cooksey of Washington, Va., Rev. ant Mrs. Harold Carder .,Shd family of Culpeper, Mrs. A. C. Latham, Mr, and Mrs. W. L. Payne, and'r Mrs. Sarah Latham and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Green had as their guests for dinner ^Sunday JHr. and Mrs. Douglas Bywaters of Flint Hill, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Vfhover and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Dewaters and their families. Monday the group was entertained at the Lloyd Bywaters home and by the Stovers’ on Wednesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Settle were guests Sunday of Mr. aqd Mrs. William Utz and Mr. and Mrs. Reginald Aylor in Madison.

Saturday fot dinner Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Lawrence were guests of Mr. and Mrs. IHarvey Poe in Falls Church.
