Miss Linda Hastings Pace oi Greenville, S. C. and Reidsvillc and Paul Daniel Hawkins oi Sperryville, Va., were married Saturday at 5 p.m. in Baptist Temple Church by the Rev. William Compton, pastor of Southside Baptist Church, Greenville, S. C.
The bride is the daughter oi Mrs. Nell IHastings Pace of Reidsville and Hemy Clay Pace Jr# oi Leaksville. The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Franklin Hawkins of Sperryville.
After December 31 the couple will live at D-6 Varsity Village, Greenville.
The bride was graduated from Hampden DeBose Academy, Zellwood, Fla., and in 1959 received a bachelor of science degree from Bob Jones University in Greenville, where she now teaches in the City Schools System.
The bridegroom served six years in the U. S. Armed Forces, spending three years overseas. He is currently a senior and ministerial student at Bob Jones University where in June he will be a candidate for the bachelor of arts degree.
The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Henry Clay Pace III of Leaksville and had his wife for matron of honor. The bridegroom’s sister, Miss Thelma Hawkins of Sperryville, was a bridesmaid with Miss Mary Beth Hastings, cousin of the bride. Grace Elizabeth Easley of Burlington, another cousin, was junior bridesmaid.
The bridegroom had his brother, William Franklin Hawkins of Luray, Va., for best man. Another brother, Edward Lee fjtawkins of Sperryville, ushered wift'^Harry Robert Knight, David Hastings and 'Henry Douglas Knight Jr.
Music was furnished by Winston Hayth, organist, and Gordon Knowles, tenor.
The bride wore a gown of Chantilly lace over'taffeta designed with a Sabrina neckline outlined with seed pdu& .short sleeves, fitted bodice and* hotyffant skirt with full chapel train: Her fingertip illusion rveij was attached to a crown of oran'gehh)S9oms_ and seed /•fiearls. She carried k white orchid atop a white Bible.
