Set For July 10th
The Seventh District Democratic Committee has called a primary election to determine the Democratic nominee, for the United States House of Representatives, says James W. Fletcher, Chairman. The primary will be held Tuesday, July 10, 1%2.
The Hon. Burr P. Harrison, who has served in this seat for approximately sixteen years, will not seek re-election upon the advise of his physician.
At present no candidates have actually committed themselves, but a possible list of ten has been circulated.
The Seventh District consists of the counties of Clarke, Frederick, Page, Rockingham, Shenandoah, Warren, Rockbridge, Nelson, Amherst, Augusta, Bath, and Highland, in the Valley and Madison and Rappahannock; the cities of Harrisonburg, Staunton, Waynesboro, Winchester and Buena Vista.
