Sgt. Dodson Assigned

To Air Force Unit

Rio <Hato, Panama—Staff Sgt. John M. Dodson, son of John S. Dodson of Sperryville, Va., is assigned to be a United States Air Force unit participating in Exercise Banyan Tree I'll which will continue'in this area through early March. The joint training maneuver for air and ground forces is designed to develop the combat readiness of units participating.

Forces for the exercise are from the U.S. Caribbean Command, the new unified U.S. Strike Command and from combat and support units of U-S. based major air commands.

Sgt. Dodson is a flight engineer permanently assigned to a unit of the Continental Air Command at Ellington AFB, Tex. He will return there upon completion of the exercise.

The sergeant, a graduate of Rappahannock County High School, entered the service in June 1955. He is married to the former Joanna Pate of 804 Boyd, Midland, Tex.
