Made For Dumps
Continued effort is being made for securing sanitary land fills, or in plain language public dumps, in various sections of Rappahan. nock County', so we might have a more beautiful and cleaner county.
Trash and tin cans are something that every family uses and has to make disposal of. It seem very strange to live in the middle of wide open country and have to send your trash to the nearby city for disposal. I know of a family who does just this, and as inconvenient as it it, that’s better than throwing it on the roadside or in a stream.
The Board of Supervisors has been approached on the matter and are in full agreement that public dumping places are urgently needed. The Garden Club and Sperryville PTA both have petitioned thle Supervisors and offered their assistance in helping to acquire and care for these land fills.
We believe the Board will establish public dumping grounds, provided suitable places can be lo. cared. Your support is needed in this matter and you are requested to submit any ideas which you may have or any information which you can obtain to Mrs. Lucia Kdby.
