n^k Nassberg of the University of Pennsylvania is spending a part of a school'vacation in Rappahannock County studying and collecting folk music on tape recordings.
He was sent to this area by a professor who had spent a summer vacation as a guest of Mr. iWenry Gore and had heard folk singing in the Smedley Hollow vicinity. Much of this music and lyrics had been handed down through generations and has never been put in print.
