Wiley d. i^napman or ruu Church was a guest or his parents, Mr. and Mrs. David V. Chapman on Wednesday. Mrs. Claudia Ashby died on Sunday at her home in the country following an illness at her home. Funeral on Tuesday at the Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church by the former pastor, Rev. E. H. Nicholson. She leaves a son James Ashby of the home address. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Brown and sons of 'Hamilton spent the weekend at Rock Villa with Mr. and Mrs. Rodes Brown. Ann Yates and Joyce Ayler were weekend guests of their grandmother, Mrs. Della Howard at the Lee Highway Hotel. On Sunday afternoon Mrs. Howard, Charlie Coates and Mrs. Holmes Hall motored to Arlington with the girls on the return trip. Mr. and Mrs. John Eubank were guests Sunday of Mrs. Eubank’s sister, Mrs. Dorothy Corder and son at Huntlly. Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Devers spent the weekend in Front Royal with Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Ping
