Hostess At Banquet
Over eighty firemen and guests were honored at the annual fire* mens banquet held Tuesday night at the Flint Hill fire hall. The Ladies Auxiliary, with Mrs. Mof. fett Brady as president served the delicious dinner.
Among visiting departments represented were Front Royal, Amissville, firemen and auxiliary, Washington Rescue Squad, and Sperryville.
The local high school chorus presented a program of vocals under the direction of Mrs. Warren Wilbur. They were accompanied by Virginia Yates Bradford at the piano. Among the guests present were Hon. Tom Frost of Warrenton, R. W. Wall, James R. Johnson, Frank Stoutamyer, Warren Tur. ner, W. C. Williams, W. Leroy Corron, James Payne, Glen Robertson, Douglas Blanton, and Thomas H. Fussell, all from Front Royal, W. A. Buntin of Washington, Va., C. K. Estes of Sperryville. Guest speaker for the evening was Jim Payne of Front Royal, who is manager of Skyline Caverns.
