Moves To Pinal Week
J. Kenneth Robinson’s Campaign for Congress was still on the move as it moved into its final week which opened in Waynesboro with a debate between him and his opponent, in a jam-packed auditorium of Waynesboro High School.
In these final stages of the campaign, the orchardist-businesstnan told voters that as a Republican candidate with a conservative philosophy, he would receive the full backing of his party at the national level. This is the party that is exerting every effort “to stem the socialistic tide of Mr. Kennedy’s New Frontier Administration’’, said Robinson.
“The record speaks for itself,” the candidate said, “and it shows two of three Democrats vote the Kennedy line, while six of seven Republicans vote conservative on major issues.”
“It is interesting to note,” he said, “that Virginia’s two Republican members of the house have a more conservative voting record than do their Democrat colleagues.”
“My opponent voted for Mr. Kennedy, although he claims to be a Conservative, and if he is sent to Washington it will strengthen the Democrat Party at the national level which is dominated by the Kennedy faction.”
