(4) Resolved that the Rappahannock' County Farm Bureau support the County Planning Commission in its work.
(5) Whereas, the damage to grain, fruit, and other crops in Rappahanock by certain birds, especially blackbirds, crows and starlings, is causing tremendous losses to the farmers; and
Whereas, at the present time there seems to be no way to prevent this damage;
Therefore, Be It Resolved: That we request the proper authorities of the State and Federal ..governments t®. study th$ bird damage problem and devise ways and means to control the birds that are causing this damage. ^
The Rappahannock County Farm Bureau again adopted the policy which has been in effect for several years to give assistance to the youth of the county through its financial support of its projects, namely, Boy and Girl State, 4-H Leadership Camp, 4-H Honor Club, etc. Assistance to the schools has been provided by books on Americanism and others of that character.
Also adopted qt the meeting were a number of resolutions for consideration and action by the Virginia State Farm Bureau Federation and others to go on to the American Farm Bureau Federation for action.
