Church Harvest Dinner
The ladies of Amissville Methodist Church are sponsoring a harvest dinner which will include old Virginia ham and turkey on Friday, November 2, starting a 5 P.M. Proceeds will be used for the church Sunday School building fund.
Fox Bites Fincham
Homer Fincham, who lives in Gid Brown Hollow was badly bitten last Wednesday by a fox. Laboratory examination for rabies proved positive and Mr. Fincham is being given the Pasteur treatment.
CoL Cosden Spealter'' At Sperryville PTA
Col. Gilbert C. Cosden spoke Monday at the Sperryville Elementary School on Civil Defense.
The teachers of the school are making plans to carry out his recommendations and sugggestions and will have a special P.T.A. meeting for this purpose.
These plans will be announced in detail next week.
