‘Coach Dog* Makes

Old prints and historical stories make you aware of the ] coach dog that traveled beside ( a stage coach. Several weeks ! ago there appeared in the Town ■ of Washington a small white dog with brown and white spots who stays* by and travels with the white station wagon that belongs to the George H. Davis family, wherever it goes.
Great care has apparently been used in training this dog as it will follow no other car, stays out of the path of other cars, will not ride in the station wagon and will not go into a house.
The dog’s behavior has created much interest among adults and is a constant source of amusement to children. Unless the owner claims the dog soon, the Davises will be faced with an expense not usually associated with owning an automobile—buying a dog tag for the station wagon dog. (Did coach dogs require dog tags?)

Rap’hannock Rescue Squad
The Lion’s Club is sponsoring an American Red Cross Standard First Aid Class each Monday night at 7:30 at Trinity Church Parish Hall in Washington.
I feel it is our duty as Rescue Squad members to attend these classes and take the opportunity to renew our certificates or obtain certificates for those who do not have one. To be good Rescue Squad members we should all be qualified First Aiders.
The What Nots to do are just as important as What To Do in times of emergency in accidents f or illness.
Come on, Rescue Squad mem- bers, let’s get on the ball and' >. take advantage of this wonderful and badly needed opportunity. ....
