Library Board

An organizational meeting for the Rappahannock Library was held Friday, July 19th at the Library. This was attended by , Trustees and members of the committees composed of three persons from each Magisterial District, appointed by the Trustees, to be known as the Committee of Three. These District members are as follows: Hawthorne DistrictMrs. I. O. Wolf, Mrs. R.G. Qualntance, Jr. and T. J. Pillar; Piedmont - Mrs. R. E Patzlg, Robert F. Estes and Mrs. 1. R. Kilby; Stonewall - C. p. Johnson, Mrs. Raymond Johnson and Mrs. James H. Falls; Wakefield - Edward A. Harris, Mrs. W. A. Gentry and Mrs. Paul Nichols; Hampton - E. M. Jones, Mrs. WadeH. Massie, III and Mrs. George H.Daviq, Jr.; Jackson - Miss Catherine Riley, Mrs. John H. Williams, with one other to be appointed. The Executive Board will be composed of three of the four Trustees and the Chairman of each Committee of Three. Many constructive plans were discussed including the appointment of Standing Committees, members of which will be announced at a later date.

Plans also were made for the long range Historical Research sponsored by the Rappahannock Library.
