Annual Barbecue
Amissville Ruritan Club will hold its annual public barbecue at Amissville carnival grounds on Saturday, September 21 beginning at 4 p.m. The men of the club will make all preparations and will also serve the meal themselves. The beef will be barbecued in a pit over night and the gents will serve it with vegetables, a salad, dessert and drink. Adult plates will be $1.50 and children 75 cents. There will be rides for the children, entertainment and prizes for all. The public is urged to attend for only once a year do they have an opportunity to sample this succilent pit barbecued beef, and test the culinary art of these Amissville men.
C&stleton Auxiliary Holds Regular Meeting
The regular meeting of the Castleton Vol. Fire Auxiliary was held on Tuesday with 11 members present. Plans were made for the Firemen's annual picnic to be on the 20th of September starting at five p.m. All resident in the community are invited to be present.
