Ordained Priest
' On Saturday 14 December, at 11;00 a.m., the Rt. Rev. Frederick D.Goodwin, D. D„ LL.D, Retired Bishop of Virginia, will ordain the Rev, Charles F. Glaenzer, to the Sacred order of Priests, at Trinity Episcopal Church, Washlngton, Virginia. Mr. Glaenzer is presently serving Bromfleld Parish as a Deacon, having graduated from The Protestant Episcopal Theological Seminary in Virginia, in May of this year. Before attending seminary, Mr. Glaenzer completed more than twenty-two years service in the U. S. Air Force, from which he retired in 1960 to attend seminary. The Rt. Rev. Robert F. Gibson, Jr. D. D., present Bishop of Virginia, commenting on this coming event states: "As you know, the Diocese of Virginia customarily requires one whole year's Diaconate. Exceptions, .however, have been made. . . I, . , . have made a definite recommendation that the period of your Diaconate be shortened to the minimum of six months, . .
