Irvin W. Jenkins
Irvin Wheeler Jenkins of Lake View Farm on the Sperry ville Road died F riday, November 29, at Culpeper Memorial Hospital following a recent illness. Son of the late Pierce Ellis Jenkins and Martha C. Fincham, his Wife, and a native of Rappahannock County, he was 69. \ A contractor, Mr. Jenkins was the developer of Jenkins Subdivision on the Sperryville Road. He was formerly a farmer and operator of a grocery store in Culpeper. He was a member and steward of Bethlehem MethOdist Church at Nethers and a former member and superintendent of Sunday School ht Culpeper Free Methodist Church. He is survived by two sons, Irvin W. Jenkins, Jr. of the U. S. Air Force, stationed in Germany, and William F. Jenkins of Culpeper; four daughters, Mrs. Mildred -Frederick and Mrs. Carolyn Rosenkoff, both of Baltimore, Md., Mrs. Lucretia Juliano of Leon and Mrs. Virginia Anderson of Culpeper; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and one sister, Mrs. Watts Weakley of Nethers. A funeral service was held Monday, December 2, at 2:00 p.m. in the Geest funeral chapel, with interment following in Fairview Cemetery. The Rev. H. W. Longfellow and the Rev. F. Edison Clelahd conducted the last rites. Pallbearers were Bill Waugh Lewis Hawkins, Earl Hawkins, Harry Jenkins, O. T. Durham, Walter Jenkins, Marshall Gayheart, Sr., and Winfrey Barfield. j
