Thoughts turn to wood garments as the weather begins to get copl. Margaret Groseclose, home economist at Virginia Polytechnic Institute,advises that woolens will last longer and their appearance will be neater if they are cared for properly. She offers some tips on how to get maximum - life and attractiveness from these garments. First, notice the way the garment is placed in the closet. Hang it on a well shaped hanger so the contour of the garment falls into place. Allow enough space in the closet for the garment to hang free. This a void 8 unnecessary wrinkles. Air woolens frequently by placing them near an open window or on an outside clothes line. This makes the fabric "bounce back and have a fresh, new look. Brush away dust particles often. Rotate wool wearing apparel to give it at least 24 hour rest periods. This allows the garment to return to its original shape. „ One of the most important things to do in care of garments is to read the labels and follow the manufacturer’s instructions for care. Some garments must be dry cleaned but new developments have made some woolens washable. Regardless of the method recommended it is always advisable to wash or dry clean
