Notify Commissioner Of Address Change
C. H. Lamb, Commissioner of the Division of Motor Vehicles, today issued his annual appeal to Virginia motor vehicle owners who have changed their addresses since securing their 1963 license plates.
“The number of Virginia motor vehicles owners has grown to more than 1,825,000” said Mr. Lamb, “and the size of this registration list makes it necessary for us to begin preparation of 1964 license renewal applications shortly after December 10. Ifyouhave a 1963 Virginia license plate issued in your name and have changed your address during the current year, please notify the Division of Motor Vehicles P. O. Box 298, Richmond, Virginia, 23210, at once so we can mail to your correct address a license application in 1964. If you fail to notify the Division of vour change of address, your new license form cannot be delivered and this is bound to work a hardship on the licensee and cause him considerable inconvenience."
Commissioner Lamb stated that the following information should be included in notifying his office of a change of address: new address, 1963 license plate number, title number, make and indentlfication number and name as shown on the current registra fion card. He suggested that a postal card carrying this information be mailed directly to the Division of Motor Vehicles, P. O. Box 1298, Richmond, Virginia, 23210, as soon as possible«
