Yet, we may use predictions to tell how we've done over the years compared to the average. Are our savings as large as average? Do our food bills run higher than average? Are our interest or 'debt payment larger thanaves. age? If we’re too far out of the line, we may want to ask why. These three ways to use the economic predictions so prevalent now are valuable. They help you decide where you are, where you want to go, and how to get there. Gradually reduce the water supply and then store in a cool, airy place until May. Do not let the plant dry out in storage. In May, cut it back to 3" to 5* and start growth by watering, and moving into warm, sunny window. As soon as the temperature stays about 60 degrees F at night move outside into light shade. Pinch back each shoot once during the summer for a well-shaped plant. When cool nignts start in late August, bring your plant inside to a warm sunny window This is a critical time if you are to achieve a successful, Christmas bloom. A poinsettia is a “photoperiod responder"; that is, the length of darkness from sunset to 'Stmrfde teils this plant when to flower. It flowers when the days are quite short and the nights are long, ordinarily, in FebruaYy in the home. To get your plant to flower before Christmas, you must provide artifically short days.
