Walter N. Rector

Walter Nelson Rector of Sperryville died Saturday .December 28, at Culpeper Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. Son of the late William Nelson Rector and Margaret Payne Rector, his wife, and a native of Fauquier County, he was 95. He is survived by one son, Raymond Rector of Marshall; one daughter, Mrs.Perle Coffey of Sperryville; one granddaughter, Mrs. Alice Kelly of Fort Lee; six grandsons,Wilson Goodman, Walter Goodman and James N. Rector, all of Richmond, Lyle Rector of Flint Hill, Leon Rector of Bealeton and Frank D. Coffey, Jr., of Sperryville; and eight great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held Sunday, December 29, at Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church, the Rev. Clyde F. Melton officiating. Interment followed in Sperryville Cemetery. .* Pallbearers were John Eubank, James Ashby, Frank Brown, Richard Brown, J.E. Way land, Melville Rector, Charles Rector, and David Anderson, Jr. Arrangements were handled by Geest Furteral Parlors.
