Thirteen members of the newly organized Rappahannock Chapter of Jaycees met Monday evening to elect T, C. Lea, Jr. as its president. Other officers elected Were James A. Wayland, Internal vice-president; Garfield BUrke, External vice-president; Larry P. Bolyard, secretary; Rodney Vest, tretflurer; Charles W. Leake, Jafbird. The Board of Directors consists of Charles K. Estei, Larry L. Welch and Edward M. Clark. Donald Dodson was chosen State Director. j Additional members of the group are Tommie Waylamt Campbell T. Hitt, John Eubank Jr., Julian Brown, Terry Davis, Charles A. Jenkins, James W. Burke, N. Grady Vest, James M. Vest, Lynn J. Atkins. Plans were made for a charter night dinner meeting st Panorama on Monday, April 27 with the Honorable John Q* Marsh, Jr. as guest speaker*

This was the first’ demonstration contest to bei held in recent years and iti was termed a success by Arils Frymyer, assistant county agent, and Harriet Goode, home demonstration agent. Demonstrations were given in goods and nutrition, home management, sewing, forestry electricity, and horse care.
