Places Second In
^peaking Congest
Earl Yancey of Amissville, an ninth grade student at Rappahannock County High' School, placed second in the Future Farmers Federation public speaking contest held Thursday, April 2 at Loudoun Valley High School. The Federation is composed of James Wood, Clark County, Warren County, Loudoun County, Rappahannock County and Loudoun Valley High Schools. Each school held contests and the best candidate represented them at the federation meeting. The winner of the federation contest will compete in area contests and that winner in state competition.
Garden Tours Scheduled Instead of Meeting
The Rappahannock Garden Club will meet with Mrs. Daniel Noce near Castletonon April 15th at 12:30 o’clock. Members are asked to bring a sandwich. Following lunch and a tour of Mrs. Noce's garden, the Club will tour the garden of Mrs. F. J. Leonard, at Amissville. The $2.00 annual club dues are payable at this meeting.
