Mrs. J. B. Johnson
S/Sgt. and Mrs. J. E. Swindler and family of Manassas were week-end guests of their parents Mr. and Mrs. Lee Swindler. Jimmie and Natalie Swindler remained for a visit this week with their grandparents. On Sunday afternoon Mrs. Swindler entertained a group of children honoring her grandchildrens third and fourth birthdays. The guests included Freddie Schaefer, Greg and Tony Wayland, Jimmie and Tam Devers, Charlene and Chucky Sisk. Games and refreshments were enjoyed by the children. Mrs. Jesse C. Clater returned to her home in town on Sunday after a weeks visit with the Rev. and Mrs. A. Paul Thompson atForkUnion. Mrs. Mary Clater has returned to her apartment here after spending the winter months with her sons Robert Clater and Roland Clater and their families in Warrenton. Mrs. Robert Sisk of Orange was a week-end guest of Mr. and Mrs. Early Sisk and with them attended a special service at Piedmont Baptist Church on Sunday morning. Mr. and Mrs. W. I. Henson and Mrs. Vernon Good of Front Royal were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Johnson on Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Eleanor Rector was an over-night guest Thursday of her aunt Mrs. Perle Coffey. Mrs. H. H. Aylor.her granddaughter Stevie Aylor and Cassa Coates spent the weekend in Arlington visiting members of Mrs. Aylor’s family. Mrs. Perle Coffey, her son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Coffey and their son Frank spent the weekend in Tyro with Mrs. Clara Coffey and son. Following a three weeks illness at his home George Deal has been removed to University Hospital in Charlottesville. During his illness he has been visited daily by members of his family andfrlends. Miss Catherine Moyer and her brother Clarence Moyer of Luray were supper guests on Sunday of Mrs. J. Harvey Daily. On Thursday Mrs. Daily will go to Martinsburg for a four day visit with her sisterin-law Mrs. W. B. Barr. Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Devers had as their dinner guests on Sunday--Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Waylarif and Mrs two children. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Dwyer of Elkwood visited Mrs. Dwyer's brother Lee Cornell on Sunday. Mr. Cornell is recuperating from an illness at his home. Mrs. Netus Brown and her mother Mrs. Monia Dodson were guests last week of Mrs. Dodson’s daughter Mrs. Elmer Bowling and Mr. Bowling at Fredericksburg. The Rev. and Mrs. A. Paul Thompson, AnnRodes Thompson and Mrs. Kent of Fork Union were supper guests on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs.Rodes Brown. Jack Brown of Hamilton who attended a meeting for County Agents in Luray last week was over-night guest of his parents Mr. and Mrs. Rodes Brown Wednesday and Thursday. Mrs. Kent Woolfolk of Louisa was in town on Saturday and with her sister Miss Irene Keyser attended the funeral services for Francis W. Slaughter. Miss Mildred Many of Washington, D. C. and Jim Miller of Arlington were dinner guests Sunday of Miss Many’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. E, Many and Miss Sue Many at
