Mr. and Mrs. Russell Settle spent the Easter holidays with their son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Ted Lee and family in Washington, D. C. who returned with them Mon- ; day to Slate Mills. On Tuesday they visited Monticello and Ash Lawn in Charlottesville. The Lees returned to Washington, D. C. on Wednesday where Mrs. Lee resumed the teaching of music at Elliot Junior High School. Mrs. Clarence Dorsey and son Duane Dibble were Saturday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Torac of the Madison Road. Eddie Spencer of Culpeper was also a guest. Mrs. Russell Settle was a Sunday dinner guest of Mr. and Mrs. George Thornhill and Mrs. Vinda Kilby. Mr. and Mrs. Brice Biggers spent Easter in Brentwood, Long Island visiting Mrs. Bigger’s son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. George Lyon and children. Mrs. Bigger’s daughter Mrs. Pat Sabine and ■ children of Gaithersburg, Md. accompanied them home on April 2 for a four day visit. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Driscoll and children of Culpeper and Mr. Driscoll’s brother and family Mr. and Mrs. James Driscoll of Brooklyn, N. Y. were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Powers on Friday evening. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Olney Kennedy were Mr. and Mrs. James Minnis and John Coates of Culpeper; Miss Betty Kennedy of Arlington and Mr. and Mrs. Waver Kennedy and son Charles of Slate Mills. Mr. and Mrs. Willby Grigsby and children of Boston were Sunday visitors of Mrs, Grigsby’s parents Mr. and Mrs. Harold Benning of the Reva Road. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Gaines stayed with Mrs. Gaines’ aunt Miss Alice Hill for several days last week while Mrs. Hazel Barfield visited her son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Barfield and children in Berryville.
